The Health Project & Koop Award

Health management awards give meaningful recognition.

Health management programs — they’re only as good as their outcomes, and their outcomes are only as good as the program.

One distinctive measure of a program’s value is the C. Everett Koop National Health Awards, where outcomes are king. Each year, worksite, community or provider programs vie for the prestigious award for recognition of sound, successful population health management programs. Sponsored by The Health Project, a non-profit, private-public consortium chaired by C. Everett Koop, M.D., former U.S. surgeon general, these awards pay tribute to organizations that have met rigorous outcomes criteria and documented improved health and decreased medical costs.

True to its mission, The Health Project seeks out, evaluates, promotes and distributes programs with demonstrated effectiveness in influencing personal health habits and the cost effective use of health care services. Central to these winning programs are the objectives of (1) providing appropriate quality care, and (2) sharply reducing the alarming rate of health care inflation, by holding down unnecessary expenditures.

Over the years, 19 StayWell clients have had the honor of receiving this well-regarded award. Talk to us about how your organization can qualify for the Koop award. We’d be happy to help you get the recognition you deserve.
