Research from StayWell’s award-winning program at Chrysler showed that program participation was associated with a $200 annual reduction (equal to more than $350 in today’s dollars) in health care costs per person. The level of cost savings was directly related to intensity of program participation. The greatest savings was shown among those completing multiple health assessments and follow-up risk reduction programs.

A finance and insurance client of StayWell’s took part in the health risk intervention program for employees on short-term disability and the results estimated annual savings of $839 in health-related costs per participant, producing a return-on-investment of nearly $5 per dollar invested.
